The Intelligent Systems Research Institute (IS) at the Japanese National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, AIST, has reorganized a new research group on April 1, 2009. The IS Research Institute is a research institute consisting of researchers from artificial intelligence and intelligent robotics fields and promotes various researches and research projects under the control of a director, and deputy directors with research groups dynamically organized. Furthermore, IS is active to promote joint research projects within academic, industrial, and government circles.
