Celebrating 10.000 visits mark

To our visitors and readers! 

Today Robotland passed the 10.000 visits mark. A great day and a wonderful feeling to look at the global map visualizing spots of Robotland readers. 

Thank you to all, who have contributed with links, great robotics ideas and comments since our counting start in Februari 2010.  Robotland will continue to watch the global robotsphere, report about exciting events, analyze robotics innovations and explore future challenges and robotics visions. 

The new Global Robotics Brain Cloud will be released very soon including 20.000 robotics research organisations and companies with 35.000 links to people, projects, places and 8.000 webpages.

Robot Land - Total Brand Development

Incheon Robot Land Company Limited has awarded Pico Far East Holdings Limited, based in Hong Kong, a global Total Brand Activation Company, a contract for the development of the world’s first-of-its-kind robot theme park -- ‘Robot Land’.

Pico, incorporated in the Cayman Islands, is specialized in exhibition and event as well as other distinct businesses including museum, theme park, interior, brand signage, conferences and show management, as well as exhibition hall management. The Group employs some 2,400 people with an international production and sales network covering 31 major cities worldwide.

Incheon Robot Land, when completed, will be the world’s first robot theme park with exhibition halls, robot experience halls, learning facilities and entertainment facilities. Pico is appointed as the sole creative director and project manager for the whole schematic design of Robot Land. It is expected that the contract will be completed in the financial year of 2010 while the first phase construction has already commenced. The park is planned to open in 2013.

South Korean Robotland Project

The South Korean government has ambitous goals for its robotics industry. According to plans the global market share will have increased from today´s 8% to 20% by the year 2018. The government is promoting the deveopment of intelligent robots that will offer quality of life improvements and companionship for the aging population. The government is offering promotion of robotics-related activities in the country, encouraging the establishment of technical and safety standards in the industry, and making strategic investments in companies and programs that will help meet their goal.

In July 2012 a new 188-acre Robotland themepark in the city of Incheon will open to attract tourists and businesses all over the world. Roboland will include a shopping area, and a R&D business district in a Free Economic Zone.
